Cuban cigars are made from tobacco grown on the island nation. The island’s coffee beans embody the culture of the island and account for a quarter of the country’s export value.
Filler, binder, and wrappers are largely produced in Pinar del Rio province, in the regions of Vuelta Abajo and Semi Vuelta, as well as on farms in Viales. All cigars in Cuba are made by Cubatabaco, a state-owned company.
